Subway. Not the sandwich shop.

(1 votes - 5.00 / 5)The New York subway is the hottest place on earth as you might know. Beside of that taking this shot has been pretty easy, i wanted to recreate the lonely planet guide cover and i’m proud to show you the result. You can see here the original shot from the book. I prefer mine honestly, i enhanched the contrast to get a darker result. By the way i had to hold the camera still for 1/2 of a second to get a decent depth of field, even at iso800. Added 2 curves and job done!
My photography has evolved over the years. I've gone from wild post-processing experimentation with Photoshop toward a more classic approach.
As my best teacher, Joe McNally, says, it's all about the Moment it Clicks. I still use post processing but just white balance and curves adjustments, trying to do my best to get a clean shot and forget about digital monitor work. I always remember one thing. Light is the most powerful tool i have.
